Our residencies normally take place from Monday to Friday. Please let us know when you wish your residency to take place, please list multiple options.

(1) Please provide us with a recent high res image no less than 500KB and no more than 1MB. N.B. If your application is for a group, please upload images of each attending artist

(2) A clear and informative summary of your work, i.e. a biography or a CV (2 pages max)

(3) Reason for Residency - what are your objectives (500 words max)

Hawkwood Residencies Blog

We ask that all our artists in residence write a short (250 words approx.) blog during or after their residency, providing information about themselves, describing their experiences at Hawkwood, what they were working on, etc. This is only a suggestion, we would also be happy to accept images, video, audio recordings, voice notes, work in progress or completed work, or anything else! This is a space to showcase your creativity. Please confirm that you are willing to contribute to the Hawkwood Residencies Blog, and are happy to be contacted after your residency with regards to this.

Statement for signature confirming eligibility for artists receiving trust financial support as part of a Hawkwood artist residency.

This may be used also as guidelines for Hawkwood in deciding on eligibility. I hereby certify that I fulfil the following conditions for Artists receiving support from the Francis W Reckitt Arts Trust for a Hawkwood Artist Residency: Professional Artists Artists who 1] have devoted most of their training and/or working lives in pursuit of their art and/or craft, 2] are known for their artistic work, 3] intend on the whole to continue with it, and 4] have made a significant portion of their income from that pursuit and that work. In Need Artists who, while not necessarily being in difficult financial circumstances or dire straits, have insufficient income or resources 1] generally to be able to afford to subsidise the time and place away from home necessary to fulfil their work, 2] specifically to pay for the opportunities currently being offered for this Residency, or 3] would need to give up other paid work, such as performing or teaching, for the time necessary to participate in this Residency. TAX RESIDENCE The Artist must be resident in the UK for the purpose of tax, and have assured the Trust that this is the case. DATA PROTECTION The Artist must have agreed to the Trust retaining their professional and contact details.
