Help Us Thrive: Support Hawkwood

Hawkwood is a charity (no. 311767), and we rely on donations to continue our work. We need to raise funds each year to help us operate, as venue hire and course fees alone do not cover the costs of maintaining our estate and running our programmes. By supporting us, you are helping Hawkwood thrive as a centre for learning, sustainability, and creativity.

Supporting Hawkwood by making either a one off  or monthly donation, by becoming a Patron or by leaving a legacy will ensure we are here for generations to come.

If you’ve enjoyed your time at Hawkwood, then your donation can provide opportunities for others to benefit from learning, creating and working in this beautiful setting.

There are many ways that you can donate to support Hawkwood, please scroll down for donation options.

Ways Your Support Makes a Difference

Your gift will help us to:

  • Enable extraordinary artists to create innovative work.
  • Support young social entrepreneurs to grow their ideas.
  • Collaborate with the local community on environmental outdoor initiatives.
  • Provide bursaries for those on low incomes.
  • Champion environmental sustainability in all our activities.

We are deeply grateful to all our supporters, including Arts Council England, The Francis W Reckitt Arts Trust, The Summerfield Charitable Trust, and The Gloucestershire Funders

Every contribution, big or small, helps us continue our valuable work. Thank you for your support.

Monthly Donation - "Friends of Hawkwood"

Make a lasting impact by becoming a Hawkwood Friend. Your monthly donation will help us sustain Hawkwood year-round. We have ambitious plans for our future but can’t do it alone. We need the help of everyone who cares about the good we do to support us.

£25 – Your gift could help support our biodynamic gardens and ensure the continued use of local, organic produce in our meals.

£75 – Your gift could help us maintain our rooms with eco-friendly materials, keeping them fresh and welcoming, while upholding our commitment to sustainability.

£125 – Your gift could help support our bursary programme, artist residency programme or fellowship programme ensuring that our mission of accessibility and inclusion is reflected throughout our work.

Join us as a Friend and know that you are making a direct contribution to the future of Hawkwood.

I have been involved with Hawkwood and its residency programme for more than a decade. In my more than twenty-five years as a critic there has never been more urgent need of support for young writers, never a time when imaginative endeavour has been so threatened. Hawkwood’s provision of an inspirational place to work is unique: the resulting work is invigorating the literary and dramatic landscape. This important resource must continue; it needs and deserves strong support.
