Join The Gesualdo Six at St Laurence Church in Stroud and step into an enchanting sequence of festive works. For centuries Christmas and the surrounding seasons have inspired composers to new heights of invention.

In this programme, The Gesualdo Six weave a tapestry of well-known seasonal carols together with Renaissance gems and highlights from the 21st century. Featuring works by Palestrina, Byrd, Vaughan Williams, Poulenc & Frances-Hoad.

The concert will be taking place at St Laurence Church in Stroud.

What Is Included

For the majority of our courses, both residential and non-residential rates are available. Residential options are fully inclusive with all meals provided. Non-residential options include suppers, lunches and all refreshments and exclude B&B. Some of our short day courses, events and talks do not include meals and refreshments. Please note that seating is unallocated. The concert will begin promptly at 7:30pm and will be held at the following venue: St Laurence Church, The Shambles, Stroud GL5 1JL.

Join James D’Angelo – leading authority on sound healing – in uncovering one of the great aspects for attaining true sound health through the tuning of the chakras. In this unique workshop, James will introduce you to vocal homeopathy, and its processes by which the chakras are stimulated and retuned, clearing blockages and releasing fine energies. Alongside the therapeutic use of voice we will bring in embodiment practices with Chi Kung like movements integrating them into the toning practices. Finally, and complementary to the chakra work you will get the chance to experience Taoist sounds/movements for the organs and mantras for the subtle field entry.

Trying your hand at painting an icon of your own could bring you closer to the power of these ancient Christian images. The practice of icon painting draws the participant closer towards the invisible, inner world into which the icon is a “window.”
